Interviewer: What should we do to look more like you?
Andrew: Sleep very long in a bus.
Ben: Never cut your hair.
Andrew: A lot of eating peanut butter jelly sandwiches. At least two per day.
Ben: You have a lot of stupid jokes. Lots of stupid jokes. Also remember to smoke weed.
Andrew: Listen to music that 99 percent of the world hates. We played music in Ghent yesterday after our performance, mainly 80's music. Someone from the organization came to us during the set and said: "If you continue like this, everyone will be very angry. You understand that? "
Ben: I did not understand it because I was dancing. You better just dance instead of yelling.

The Strokes on Ice-cream//biscuits:
What’s your favourite flavour of ice cream? ~ Kat Street

Albert: Chocolate chip cookie dough.

Julian: Vanilla chocolate chip.
Fab: I don’t know. I like coconut.

Nick: I like milkshakes, is that the same as ice cream? Well, if it is, I like vanilla ones. Haagen-Dazs are good.

Nikolai: Pistachio.

What’s your favourite type of biscuit? ~ Jenny, London

Fab: What?!?

Albert: We’re American, we don’t eat biscuits.

Julian: I like Chips Ahoy.

Nick: We don’t sit around eating ice cream and biscuits all day. We eat pizza and drink beer.

NME: Don’t you ever have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit?

Nick: No!

Fab: Tell everyone in England, we don’t eat biscuits.

Andrew: Ben has a beautiful smile. And very good feet. His ears are large. I like big ears.
Ben: I know a very nice interior feature of Andrew.
Andrew: Really?
Ben: Yeah, you're a brilliant writer.
Andrew: Is that a mental attribute?
Ben: Yes.
Andrew: You have a beautiful palate, especially left. That's my favorite feature of inner you.
Ben: When you see that?
Andrew: When you sleep, because you sleep with your mouth wide open.

Resulta que a.v. dijo varios nombres de canciones nuevas como Lady Dada's nightmare ["we thought it would be funny to call it "Lady Dada's Nightmare."], Brian Eno y Siberian Breaks. Después contó esas boludeces que me encantan leer. Lo sé, parezco loca hablando y admirando tanto a alguien que ni conozco, pero él es..no se puede explicar, es casi como un Dios (?)
Copio algunas partes, comparto mi felicidad: (??)

"Another track on the new album called "It's Working" seems to explore the same topic.
Yeah. It was the first song that we demo-ed almost a year ago. Ben [Goldwasser] and I went up to this little cabin in the woods in upstate New York, and the second I walked in the door I sat down and played this chord progression. The next day we expanded it into a song. Lyrically, it's about doing drugs. I didn't realize it until now, but it's kind of funny, because the first song on our first album was "Time to Pretend," which was about the imagined rock star scenario. So, "It's Working" is like, "Yeah, we went out there and we did a lot of drugs and it's not that great." The song is mostly about Ecstasy."

"MGMT are nominated for a pair of Grammys: Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for your hit "Kids." What was your initial reaction?
It was really, really unexpected and just crazy. I was watching the nominations with our sound guy, and it was surreal to hear our name on TV. It's a whole other world of music. I'm glad that they want to recognize a stranger band."
